HCESD 9 Wins ENR Award

Congratulations to the Harris County Emergency Services District 9 for earning an Engineering News-Record Award for Renovation/Restoration of public buildings.  The new Cy-Fair Fire Department Operations and Administration  is housed in a former mattress warehouse which was converted into an elegant 115,000 sf multi-use operations facility.  Matrix Structural Engineers provided the structural engineering services for the reconfiguration of the corner of the building to create a new entry.

News River Oaks Baptist School Tops Out

Matrix Structural Engineers has a wonderful time at the topping out ceremony for the River Oaks Baptist School’s new 160,000 sf facility alongside Jackson & Ryan Architects and Bellows Construction.  This new addition to the campus includes a 90,000 sf four-story STEAM building with a 8,200 sf garden and terrace space on the roof of the building, a new 15,000 sf administration facility, outdoor classrooms, prayer & greenhouse garden – all situated on top of a 78,000 sf underground parking garage.
